Best free security tools - Try it today!

Today am writing about a few good security tools which is free to download. So let’s check it out.

1. Avira Antivir Personal Edition: This Avira Free edition is using same engine of paid edition. Its detecting ratio is really high when compared to the other major Antivirus. Avira has 99.6 %  virus detection than the others. What it is impressed me that, it will detect the USB Flash drive virus and delete it that normally others don’t do. When you using this free edition the often pop up for the paid version is really annoying.

2. Spyware Doctor Starter Edition: This version is to be designed for the the people, not just experts. This pack is actually bundled with the Google Pack. In this version you can run the full spyware scans but most of the advanced options are real time protection is not available in this free edtition.

3. Comodo Firewall Pro: Comodo Firewall is not just a firewall but it has the engine of an antivirus too. It offers a protection of firewall+antivirus+spyware security. It’s best feature is it has a Host Intrusion Prevention System stops malware from being installed in your computer.

4. Spamfighter Standard: Spamfighter blockes the collective intelligence of 4.5 million e-mailers around the world to block spam with a toolbar in Outlook, Outlook Express and Windows Mail. The free Standard version shows a text ad in the toolbar and adds a footer to your e-mail messages. A Pro version is ad-free and costs $29 after a 30-day trial. It’s main drawback is it is not support any other email clients other than Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express and Windows Mail.

5. McAfee Rootkit Detective: Rootkits are always a headache, onec it is infected in your pc it will hide all the infected files and most of the Antivirus applications will not be able to detect it. Finding the rootkits is really a tough job if you are not a Malware expert. McAfee will detect such suspicious files and give you instructions how to deal it.
